fixing 404 + typos

Hi, I am brand new to Dolphin 6, coming from WordPress.

Apache error_log contains busted links and typos but I cannot find them.

How do I find/fix busted links and typos on existing site?

In WP I just search wp-content table - tried searching whole db, template directories, found nothing.

Unable to find database description on this site.

Simlar - where do I find function PageMainCode() ?

Can I find it on http://www.boonex.com/doc/ ?

I would like to know where it's pulling content from.

Thanks!

If you are truly "brand new" to Dolphin, it is in your best interest to start with the latest 7.0.3 version.  There is very little support or growth potential for V6, particularly if you already have problems.  If you have a very active existing 6.1 site, I recommend that you seek help from a Unity member or Boonex developer to make the transition.  Check the forum posts and you should find someone open to your situation.  Contact them directly.  Best of luck.

I bought JT book. It contains lots of screenshots.

I don't want to learn Dolphin now. I just want to fix broken links.

I can't find text in templates or db. Where is it?

the book is a manual related to dolphin. as for fixing broken links, can you send me a pm and let me know what you are talking about. also, you can try joining JT's site, he was a front-runner on dolphin 6 customizations and source fixing. also mrpowless.com is another great source, and dialme.com

sense we are not able to reference what you are even talking about to be able to provide a half-assed answer, because most of us have moved on and no longer think on the D6 realm.

so to come in here and ask for assistance off the cuff, for something that has not been marketed for nearly two years is most likely not going to happen.

fixing 404 errors, 404's are rather easy to track down,  you call a link, link doesnt appear, so there is either a syntax problem, or an actual missing file.

now, typos on the other hand, hmmm, these developers misspelled just about every other word, the trick to that is, it was done consistently, so the computer doesnt really care if you declare

worng=$imfixed

or

wrong=$imfixed

as long as you call your variable to represent your constant 'in the words of the great Conquistador, Casera` Sera` '

so tracking incorrect spellings you could be there a minute *oR more

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
