error.php

When I copy my site from the server, I get "virus threats" from 3 error.php files.  I have 1 in the admin folder, 1 in the root folder, and 1 other.  Do I need these error.php files??  Can I delete them from the server?  Where do they come from?

The files are called error.php  Just error.php, nothing else.  I just don't know what to do with them.

Ask your support to check them out as they could be just custom error pages but better to be safe than sorry.

Tell them they triggered your AV  .....

Some hosts name custom error pages "error.php"  .....

See "error.php" "custom error messages"
