dolphin menu & Header on my other directory page

I Need to move the header of Dolphin ( anything from the menu and up) to the header of my directory page on the same site & DB,

is there a simple way to do this?

The dolphin menu still needs to be work and should be able to edit it from ADMIN.

i am running another script on the same website, its a directory

I would like to have the same top photo & menu as on the dolphin pages

is there code i can copy into the directory header to pull over everything from the menu up over to that page?

Still not enough data.  Is the script on a page outside of Dolphin and you want to have it to appear as if one is still on Dolphin when they go to the directory?  If so, then move the directory inside of Dolphin, creating a new page and inserting the script to that page.

can do that because the directory contains 1000's of listings that are indexed by google and getting traffic. I know there is a way to add the dolphin header & menu to existing pages on the same domain as I have seen it done

You want to rip the header off of Dolphin and put it onto a different website. A solution was presented and you rejected it.  Stick the different website into an iframe or make a mock up of your Dolphin header and stick it on top of your different website.

Explain what you mean by it is the same website?  Do you mean it is under the same domain?  Dolphin is a CMS.  Perhaps if you are willing to share more information, like the site you are talking about, we could give some help.

It's really not possible. Even i as a developer have tried and failed.

The problem is that in order for everything in the dolphin header and menus to function correctly, dolphins CSS and JS also needs to be there, and that CSS and JS will conflict with the other script.

The only way is to iframe the other site in a dolphin page or to create a mockup of a dolphin header for the other site. But doing that you will loose control of it from the dolphin admin.

To do it the way you want it done is impossible.

It does not matter if it's in a sub directory of your dolphin site or not. The fact remains that it is a separate script and you could point a domain name to that folder and run it like a separate web site. Different script means different JS, Different CSS Different database. Thus incompatible with each other.

BTW: when I said mock-up, I also meant hand coding the Dolphin menu structure; otherwise, you can not click back to any of the Dolphin areas and of course if it changes over on Dolphin, you need to change it on your hand coded menu.  To make it easier, just code the top level menu.

Or he can use this, as he did: http://www.boonex.com/m/Standalone_Dolphin_Menus

Glad somebody actually found that pseudo-useful

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

There you go, someone has already done the work for you.  Of course you will have to apply your site styles to it so it looks seamless.
