doesn't upgrade from RC to RC2

I followed the instruction as described but without any luck.

I personally think it's easier to "fresh" install RC2 and use data migration.   You can transfer all your template work over manually.  It works pretty well for me.

Data migration from RC1 to RC2?  Does that work?  I thought the migration tool was designed for 6.1.6.

elcentcom - for the benefit of those of us who haven't done it yet, could you tell us what goes wrong.  Personally I didn't expect this RC to be released this quickly - I am no where near finished configuring my RC1.

The upgrade works without any problems. There is nothing to migrate from rc to rc2. Just follow the instructions from Andrew given correctly. That's it!

I migrated from 6.1.6 to RC2. Works well.

My error...

Sorry Tech66 - I don't know - maybe someone else here can help.

Mine seemed to have gone ok, but I have a few minor questions:

1: Recompile language files for all modules from admin panel -> Tools -> Modules

Where is this?  I don't see anyplace to recompile the language files there.  I didn't seem to have any language issues in the upgrade - is this necessary?

2. Clean /tmp/ via FTP or SSH

Does that include the .htaccess file that is there?

Caltrade, whats happend with you? Maybe the unaspected RC2 makes you so confused .... 1353 Posts and so simple questions, that I newbie from post count can help you experienced user...........

As for the htaccess question: Is the htaccess a file? So you be adviced by Andrew to delete it. Just do it. Delete ALL FILES in temp folder.

You will be fine after that with your upgrade. Good luck.

Why is it important for you to be rude mallorca? What happened to YOU!   If you have complaints about specific posts I have made here please tell me which ones and I will address them individually with you. I still learn things here - including occasionally from new users, and I don't understand why you think that is so horrible.  Also, you are also not exactly telling the truth when you say you are "a newbie" - you have been here 690 days - that is hardly a newbie.   About half my posts here are at least trying to help other people - after all the time you have been here why have you made so few attempts to help other people here?

In any event, the link you posted in not correct, so you made at least one wrong assumption about where my new site is.  I checked the link: http://mysite.com/administration/modules.php and there is no "third button right in the first red line" - there are no "red lines" at all, and there is nothing on that page that says "recompile languages" - so you were also wrong there.

So though I do sometimes get help form new users, you are not one of them.

Prolaznik - thank you for going to the trouble of posting that image for me.  Not sure why I didn't see it - maybe that is not my definition of "red" or maybe in scrolling up and down I only saw the bottom to areas - which only have two buttons.  I appreciate you help.

My post to you was ironic! Maybe because different mother languages you misunderstand. But to tell the truth, it looks same as many times caltrade, at least in many of your posts: Being adviced correct, staying blind, screaming and shouting for nothing when for yourself. Up to you when you show yourself first stupid, the crazy and then both of them attacking the people who had helped you correct.
