 I cannot for the life of me find the installation/upgrade instructions... Do I just over-write all my old files in the root or what? I am currently running 6.1.x, and I would like to be running d7RC1. Is there a page somewhere I'm missing on how to do this upgrade without destroying my live site? Thanks, Bill newbreed |
Hello! Better follow this way: 1) Install Dolphin 7 to subfolder near ur current Dolphin 6. 2) Apply migration module from D7. 3) Check everything in ur new D7. 4) Trade place of 6.1. and 7.0 version. 5) Correct site_url and file path in inc/header.inc.php file for new values. Edit variables $site['url'] and $dir['root'] for actual values. In this case ur old site will be in safe. Regards |
Perhaps you could elaborate on point 4. Many here probably run their D6 site on root, so when the time comes to move D7 out of their directory to the root (make sure you do a full back up), things are not as simple as moving the files over.... It would be nice if BoonEx provided some sort detailed upgrade guide. |
