are you sure that your forum installed and mod rewrite allowed in you site ? PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first |
in conf of appache the httpd.config file has the following setting
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
but still it goes to roaring.biz/forum and not roaring.biz/modules/boonex/forum like it is suppose to

I'm having the same issue. Clean install of 7.0.2 - it's not pointing to <root>/modules/boonex/forum - it's just going to <root>/forum.
Where is this located so I can fix it myself?
Manualy surfing to the correct absolute link works fine.

Great support team we have here...
Is there an answer to this?
|
Let me start by saying this to Rivernet1... Any support given here on these forums at Unity is by volunteering members and for FREE. There is nothing that says anyone has to help at all. So if you are expecting a support team, you are in the wrong place. Most members here have other jobs or functions that they tend to during the day, so you may not get an immediate answer. Learn to be patient.
As far as the URL it should go to www.yoursite.com/forum NOT www.yoursite.com/modules/forum
Try disabling permalinks and see if it works then. You may need to add:
RewriteBase /
to your .htaccess file.

So let me get this straight.
There is a team of people that wrote this software. They paid serious money to advertise said software (See landing page), and there is no "support team" to help when the software has a major meltdown? THIS is what you're telling me?
So what happens to the ones that paid for a paid license? Do they get the same treatment, or are they treated in a different way. I'm just asking because I write software and I don't charge for it, but if there is something wrong, I am on it like white on rice to get it corrected.
That's pretty unsatisfactory, if you ask me.

That's pretty unsatisfatory, if you ask me.
There is a support team, and it's known as the agents system. You can select an agent from your account page, in which case, you can either leave a message or contact them through Skype. The forums are maintained by us, and the support we provide is on a voluntary basis (though we try to help everyone, but that does not always happen). I highly recommend you search the forums before posting a topic, as chances are, your question has been answered scores of times already.

We find it better to be vocal about such things. For example, we used to have support strikes every few months (in fact, there's another one going on now, somewhat).
