css file

I have read a few post that tell you how to edit the css files. When I change something it comes up with css files are not writeable. does any body know how to do this.

Thanks Carl

All css files have permissions 644, not writable.

You need to change permissions on the file you will edit to 666, writable

if you will use the built in css editor, remember to to change file permissions back to 644.

I usually use File Manager in the cPanel.

Thanks for the information. I have changed the permissions to 666 as you have said but it is still not letting me change anything. it just keeps telling me not writeable.

would i also have to change the file permission from 755.

Thanks Carl

Worked fine for me, you can only edit templates/tmpl_uni/css files in css editor.
