css cache off/on?

Hi when i was going through host tools and correcting issues i had all my cache switched off when doing work so i switched back on but it seems css cache switched on kills layout of my site

It is all squished to left hand side but when switch back off site goes back to normal and working properly

Any ides on why this happens also does it make a difference if switched off ??

Caching is done to help speed things up a bit.  It depends on webserver setting etc.  I had the same happen to me and I just keep the CSS caching turned off.  Dolphin caching does not always work properly.  I doubt if you see that much of a different in speed if any so just leave it off and don't worry about it.

 I didn't notice any difference in speed but wasn't sure if ok to leave off all time that why asked
