can i set my profile(a member) private?

can I set my profile(a member) private so that only friends or some groups that i choose can view my profile?

I can see videos, sounds, photos, group privacy settings,

but can it be done at profile general information or portion of it ?

Go to your profile page. On there you will see Gold Keys located at the top left of the boxes you can set privacy to. This will limit "what" the member can see depending on their status with you.

Hopefully, with the RC version, there will be an option for Profile in the Privacy Settings area, but I doubt it.

As far as I know, there is no Privacy settings for the Profile itself... Only for contents... A big, very big mistake in my humble opinion...

Indeed. Please, make this a ticket.

We all know that sooner or later this issue will end up affecting all web admins, so why not tackle it now and once and for all? It really is paramount.

I might have to put some description somewhere to let my users know where to go to set privacy for general profile content.  It could be little easier if we put this with the other privacy content where privacy settings like video, group, sound, wall, etc. are set.

or instead of gold key, just plain "privacy" with small icon image will be easier for users to find it.

but so far, it works thou.

my opinion :

it looks all the contents are divided to make separate privacy settings for each contents (video, sound, wall, etc...)

some work required for each member to figure out which contents to set what privacy setting ...

if it's possible, should have one button to set everything(my contents) to a certain privacy level, as another option,(in the future - may be after 1st RC).

This is part of the "BoonEx Syndrome"... Technically perfect but needs ages to figure out how this is working...
