I don't have the same problem with the HTTPS url, but i icons are not showing up.

Normally dolphin does not answer to two URL's. It always redirects to one or the other depending on which one dolphin is setup for.

Did you make modifications to change that default behavior?

There is also a problem with icons on the member menu when logged in using the https url. And the forum feed block on the home page also does not load with https.

Also facebook connect when using the HTTPS url will return to the http url because that's the way it's configured on the facebook side.

Dolphin was not designed to run under two URL's like that.

Odd. I can't explain this one either. Dolphin should redirect to the url it's configured for.

like any site that has an SSL, the site should run as normal under http as they are designed to, but when it comes to completing forms etc. then https should kick in to encrypt the data.

I only set up the SSL as FB requires this now to create an app

No it does not.

SSL for facebook is only required if you running facebook canvas apps.

For facebook connect the canvas settings are not used and should not even be setup.

See these screenshots for proper setup of a app for facebook connect use. http://www.deanbassett.com/images/facebook_screenshots/ app namespace and canvas areas are not to be setup.

the advanced part of your screenshots is 1000% different to what i get in my fb dev area.

but to create an app in facebook then you need to complete

App on Facebook          Use my app inside Facebook.com.

The settings change every month. At least in the migrations area, but no. You do not need to use the app inside facebook.

There is only two things that need to be configured. I will try to do a video today to show how easy it is to do. 99% of that stuff does not apply for a simple app for use with FB connect.

Ok. I created a video on how to create a new facebook app for use with facebook connect.

The audio is pretty crappy on this. My microphone is a piece of junk. So CRANK YOUR VOLUME UP TO HEAR IT. LOL.
