From what I can tell, dolphin considers the avatar "photo" which is very annyoing.  I hate seeing on the front page under Recent photos everyone's avatar picture, they shouldn't be there.  If you look at the demo site half of the public photos are "avatar"

This is not bug nor enhancement. Predefined avatars photos are photos too! if don't like it you can turn it off in avatar admin panel

maybe but as you can see im not the only user who complain about this..  photo only is a feature to help member to browse the memberlist with some specific member with face photo or at least member with personal photo...  if you have 50 member with the same avatar.. this is not specific browsing... this request should not be ignore and told us to desactivate the avatar function... avatar is a good feature for those who dont want to put their photo on the web.... but they should not be considered as a member with PHOTO on the website... thats it! if you dont want to work on it for the version 7.0... its ok.. but at least add this request for the 7.1... because many user think that this is not an invalid request...

The way it "should" work is the check box to move to Profile_Photos should move the photo to the hidden folder just like uploaded group/event videos/pictures.

Add to that the fact it is then renamed to Avatar, which makes them truly useless for anything BUT as an avatar.
