admin membership level

Something not very clear.

I have promotional membership enabled for 30 days. When this expires, members automatically go to STANDARD membership level.

I disabled 'send messages' for that level because members have to pay to use that action.

But admin is default STANDARD membership and I cannot reply to messages from members when they send me a message through their promotional membership. 

I thought actions for admin overruled these STANDARD membership actions ?

No, admins in Dolphin is half-way implemented;  you will see actions controlling admins.  Make a special admin membership that is not purchasable and you can then manually assign it to your account.
