adding templates

I have a couple other templates I want to use.   i tried to upload them, to my template folder - but when i go to me admin panel and advanced setting - I do not see the templates available to chose from.

How can i upload a couple different templates and then be able to chose between them - is it easy to do?

Go to:  Admin -> Settings -> Advanced Settings

Scroll To the bottom, there is a dop down box you can select the template from.

Click save.

If it's not showing the templates you uploaded, then try refreshing the page or clearing out your browser cache.  If it still doesn't show then you have an issue with perms, bad template files or could be a number of other things.

that is what i thought and did - a couple times - still not showing as an option.   Can you recommend a place to get templates - maybe it is the templates.

if that doesn't work try renaming the template file to

tmpl_new

This has happened to me before and changing the template file folder name was what worked for me. I believe tmpl_ and any thing will work I just keep mine to 3 letters for looks. :)

thanks - that worked for one template and not the other - must be a bad template -

If you change the name of the tmpl_{tmpl} folder you also need to locate the following line in templates/tmpl_{tmpl}/scripts/BxTemplName.php

$sTemplName = 'UNI';

You will need to change what you see in red to whatever 3 charachter name you give it.  Make sure you only change the letters and the apostrophe remains on each side of the name.

I upload the files to the templates folder. the setting is visible name of the template but to change the "save" to rename the selected template but there is no change in its effect. Can you help?

 Are you clicking "Save" or "Save Changes"?  You need to click "Save Changes" (it's the top of the 2 save buttons) if you click the bottom one that applies to watermarks on images only.

Of course, the "Save Changes", and after I set the record for the template, but on the homepage there is no change. So with each template. I do not know if it important but the version poland.
