I did a search for this issue, and there seemed to be a lot of people having problems in older versions of dolphin, but then the problems seemed to get fixed.
Every time I enter any youtube url into the field and submit, it says: Embedding Video Failed. Any one have a fix?

I coded a system on one of my forums a couple years ago for embedding youtube videos. It works in the same sort of way as dolphin in that it just requires the URL. That has always worked and still works fine today and has never needed any adjustment. So it's not an issue with youtube - they haven't changed anything! Also I have the youtube zone mod for dolphin installed now, and that has no problems either! The issue is with dolphin. I have Rayz mod - I think it's enhanced embed or something, and anables embedding from lots more sites than just youtube. That doesn't work either - wasted my money on that |

Where did youtu.be come from?? Maybe you should try embedding http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc-DX3S_QMw
My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
I'm having the same problem, have tried to add youtubes in the old format and still am unable to get the continue button to load, if anyone has a solution I am kind of desperate!! currently running 7.0.5. |

You're trying to use the tiny URL format they give you when clicking the Share button. Dolphin doesn't like that.
Copy the URL in your address bar. It should look like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKZEmLvYVF0

I've tried reproducing this, but the only way I get the shortened URI is if I manually specify it. I wonder if it's a regional thing or something.... BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

Works fine for me. What version are you using, and are you getting any errors?

7.0.5 no errors just seems to exit if I remember right. Haven't tried it again for a while as since I rolled this update of my site out a few weeks ago, none of the 8000 or so members have commented on it not working. So it's not a big deal for me at the moment, but it should work if it's there, and doesn't seem to.
