Today I've been sending a few messages around to my members. In total maybe 6 o 7.
Now I suddenly get the following error after trying to send a message to some of my community friends:
Your membership level doesn't allow you to send message
What the f@(&??
I'm the administrator!!
My membership is set to standard and it's set to set messages. I did log in/out and cleared the cash. No good.
Anyone has any idea? This kind of things make me crazy...!
Thanks

Anyone has an idea about that?
I can't mail my members anymore....and I get daily mails.
Please help.

You might check in the Membership Settings to make sure that there isn't a limit on the number of messages or the time frame that you're allowed to send. Would be odd if that affected the Admin, but there are quite a few odd things in the settings! |
I have the same issue.
There is nothing mentioned on settings/membership levels ...i'll be happy if someone knows what to do about it and can share it with us.

Sometimes communicating your problem and putting it out there is enough to solve it |
I just had the same problem. In the members section, check the box next to your name and then confirm your email. Click the link in your email and your all set.
Unfortunately you'll probably have to do this for all your members also as they hit whatever limit boonex put in there.
Cheers!

Gosh, I just had this same problem. I am the admin and in the standard membership level. I discovered that there is a limit of messages sent during a certain period of time. I changed it unlimited temporarily, but why would hte admin fall under these restrictions. I do not want to leave it unlimited for everybody on that level or will be inviting Spam.
Is there a solution to not having the admin fall under this rule?
|
Yep, I too had the same problem and could not understand it. Here is the solution that worked for me.
If you check you will realize that you are only a standard member, which has limited abilities. Create a new membership and call it - lets say "Full Admin". Once you have created this membership level, go into the action of this member and check mark all the actions you see and enable them all.
Upgrade your membership to this new "Full Admin" level and you are in business. Send as many message as you like, as many greetings, no problem.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. That is what I figured I would have to do. That is so crazy though. But I will do that. |

how did you change it to unlimited ?
|
Go to Administration>Settings>Membership Levels. Click the "Actions" link next to the membership level that you want to edit. Find the action in the list that you want and click on it. A pop-up box will appear, simply leave the box empty for unlimited.

Thank god. Finally found the solution to this. I was getting desperate.
Silly though that admin is not automatically placed in "super admin" status.
Anyhoo...
