YouTube Videos won't play in Groups

I can embed the YouTube videos by going through Videos.  I can edit them and change the category to Groups.  Then go into a group and Add Video.  The YouTube Video shows up there and can be selected.  Choose Submit and it confirms.  The video shows below the player along with any others in that group.  Non-YouTube videos that were uploaded all play when clicked on.  The YouTube videos start to load when clicked on and then get that "File not found" error.  Tried with different members and get the same result. Can go back to any other place where the videos show and the same YouTube videos play.

It would also be nice if the same video upload choices existed in Groups.  The one in there leaves a lot to be desired.

Thank

YouTube videos show in Groups but get 'file not found' error.  they play in the videos albums though.

Any help with this?

Am I the only one with this problem?

I believe this is a BUG.  Because, either you should not be able to put them into the group category to begin with, if that is not intended to exist, or you should be able to play them through the group if the icon is there and you can click on it.

As they say, "need fixin'".. at least mine does

I noticed that this issue was fixed. Is there any way to know the fix before RC3 so that I can apply this fix as a patch and release my site with RC2. This is the only show-stopper in the list of RC2 bugs reported so far that's stopping me to go live with D7RC2. I am pretty sure that no database changes are required for this fix and only some files or a function needs to be patched.

There's no revision number mentioned in the fix defect. I don't mind checking out the code and doing a diff for that revision to find out the fix if that's possible.

Please help AlexT.

Hey Alex,

I applied the changes and the YouTube videos play in the groups..

However, the other videos will not play in groups, and when I go to videos page, I they won't play there and I get this error message at the top of the page:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/ronklein/public_html/familialive.com/modules/boonex/videos/classes/BxVideosSearch.php:519) in /home/ronklein/public_html/familialive.com/inc/design.inc.php on line 133

you can see it here for now, but I am going to replace the backup files tomorrow, unless you know what I need to change.  I re-checked the changes I made and believe I made them correctly.

Thanks,

Ron

Okay, so now I replaced the two files with my backups and for some reason it did not reverse the process and avi's still won't play and YouTube videos do play and I have that php error at the top of the Videos page.

I checked the files more than once including viewing them through the file manager editor in cpanel, not just using dreamweaver.  They sure look reversed and correct to me.

I also cleared the cache from Administration.

This makes no sense to me.. with my limited knowledge, anyway.

But just in case this is a bug or something that needs more instructions, I still wanted to point it out.

I am setting up another hosting account with another service that can better meet my needs right now, so I don't know how long this will be accessible, but it would be nice to know what happened here.

Thanks again,

Ron

The problem is that you or your text editor inserted space characters or empty new lines in the end of file, after ?> signs. Please remove any trailing spaces or new line characters after ?> signs manually, maybe you will have to use another text editor.

I used dreamweaver cs4.. guess I can use something more basic to clean it up.  I would think dreamweaver would have been okay for this.

Thanks for helping Alex

I had the same problem you did Ronkle. I went back and carefully copied and pasted line by line to verify I didnt copy any whitespace, using DreamWeaver CS4 and it now works correctly. Thanks AlexT!

Now if we could embed directly from the Add Video link in Groups :)

Yeah, If we could have the same upload options in the Groups videos as in the Video Albums, that would be really great.
