Always loved the game.. Joined and playing it. Question is there a way when you select the dice it rolls over to the next roll? I saved the dice a few times then forgot to re-save it on the next roll and lost it all.. LOL.. Had a few good rolls too.. But lost them.. Hehe.. Nice work and fun game..
When you select dice to hold, it holds them so you can roll the remaining dice. When you click in the score area, it automatically resets and rolls for the next round.
I plan on adding some hints that popup. Example a hint that pops up when you hit your third roll that tells you to score it.
Maybe some other hints after the first roll that tells players to click any dice they want to hold before rolling again.
I may even put in a player chat box in there as well.
But i am not getting what your wanting it to do. I will need a better explanation.
When you have your three rolls each turn. That you don't have to select the dice you already wanted to save. That all three of those rolls those dice stay selected on that turn. If you want to change your mind then you would have to un-select the dice you don't want for the turn.

Nice! It's good to have access to one of the classics.
Just a couple of things I noticed:
1) A close window option at the bottom of the instructions page so no need to scroll to top to proceed to game?
2) On one roll I happened to get a large straight and the scoring allowed me to keep both the large *and* the small straight points. Once one is selected, shouldn't that nullify using the other on that turn?
Not sure if this makes a difference, but the testing was done on an iPad using Safari.
Thanks for making this! Hopefully more classics are in the works?

Thats a bug. The close icon is suppose to remain fixed. Not scroll with the window.

You should not have been able to score in both places in the same round. I'll see if i can reproduce it.
And yes, i have more planned. Seeing how well this one does first.

The close icon is fixed. Having the same at the bottom of the page was the suggestion, so one wouldn't need to scroll to the top in order to close the window and proceed to play.

My apologies for not being clear about that.
No. What i mean is it stays in view all the time. Fixed on the screen. No need to scroll back up. Its just there so you can click it.
Anyhow. It was scrolling out of site with the text when i last tested it. I just fixed it.
However, i found some more bugs. The players and scores blocks are suppose to auto update, but i apparently broke them when i added the pagination. So guess i am not as close to finishing this as i thought.
A lot better.. Now if only I could get the rolls I did.. LOL.. Thank you..

1- make sure you can use the name Yahtzee and are not in violation of copyright by doing so
2- after a dice is held the button text should change (unhold, roll, etc.)
3- maybe make clicking the dice themselves an additional hold/roll option
4- the dice graphics can be prettied up
all in all, works well although the red/green numbers may be confusing for some (especially the color blind) but since I've played more than my fair share of yahtzee in this life I figured it out easily enough

Based on my research the trademark for Yahtzee is now dead. There should not be a problem.
I am just about done with this. Taking way more time than i thought it was going to to get the features i wanted into it.
Added today is the ability to restrict the number of games a member can play per day based on their membership level. So you can set bronze level members to 10 games per day, sliver to 20 per day, ect, ect. All current membership levels set on site including Non-Member(guest) can be limited.
Chat window can also be shut off in the admin settings as well as spy notifications.
It should shrink down and adjust to fit on the phone and still be playable. Those with big fingers may need a stylus, but it works. At least on my iPhone5c it works.
I am not going to spend to much time on mobile support at the moment. The current game design is not really right for mobile. I am working on some ideas for later. Perhaps a mobile only page with a different layout that fits better on a phone so a responsive template won't be needed. Tablets should be fine the way it is.
If you have been on the site and played it already, you may have to clear your browsers cache do to the changes in my javascript and CSS.
Just a suggestion, it might be nice to be able to bring up the Instructions during the game for the people who are not familiar with all the Scoring options.
