Yes. Used to use it a lot for many servers (8). Didn't like it after a while of working with it. Too many little "custom" problems which needed a lot of support after a while. Xen Project Hypervisor Anyone use it?

Because i am planning to use it for my infrastructure sooner or later, could you please provide some details to your "custom problems"?

Hi. It's been a couple of years since last using the platform, however from memory one of the biggest problems with the platform is the way it deals with "disk reclaiming" ie. when modifying disk sizing and then trying to reclaim space from the guest back to the host. We would see a VM guest with sizes of hundreds of GB's while in reality they were as small as 32Gb VM guest's. Before using it I'd suggest you web search to see if people still have problems with "reclaim", they may have fixed the issues since I last used it. The platform did have it's strengths, like live migration between VM hosts (really nice feature), but what I remember I personally didn't like about it was that when a problem arose, it was specific to that version and that platform, so there wasn't much exposure out in the community which had exactly the problem you had. It's always best to use it in test, break it, destroy it and see what happens. Too many little "custom" problems which needed a lot of support after a while.
