Many big communities use this, when you link to an external site, the link becomes cloaked like
http://www.example.com/redirect.php?<hashcode cloaking the redirect link>
I thought this was against backlinking. When a link on a site is not to an external site but stays in the same domain, the search engine crawler would not count this as a backlink, or does a redirect count into page rank still?
I am not so experienced in SEO things therefore I am asking...
