Windows Vista related problem

In Windows Vista, I can't conect to chat or instant messenger.  All I get is a large loading wheel and it hangs there.  Now this is under FireFox 3.04 and Opera 9.62.  In IE 7 it loads right up.  Now I disabled my firewall, cleared my cache and disabled my AV.  Still no go.  I then logged on from an Windows XP computer and they all worked fine with the same browsers.  Weird.  So it looks like the chat will only work on IE 7 under Vista but not FF and Opera.  Anyone come across this before?  Any ideas?

hmm im running vista and i dont have any problems with any of the latest browsers ( ie, ff, safari, google chrome) using Mcafee security centre and the chat works fine.

ok, then there must be something specific running on my Vista laptop that prevents those browsers from opening the chats.  But I can't figure out what it could be that would allow IE to work with no problem but exclude FF and Opera.  Hmmmm

I wonder if there is anything to the difference in size of the loading graphic?  I noticed that on browsers where I can't get in, the loading graphic is much bigger than on a browser that will end up connecting.  Just a thought.

Problem solved... I upgraded to the latest flash player and all is well in all 3 browsers.  What a relief!

Beware of the possible bug though. People have posted on here that if you have Flash 10 and go into your Ray Base settings, all the ray modules get unregistered. That only happens with the latest Flash 10 and not 9.

Im not going near the Base then.  :-)
