Will world maps work with other providers

Hi,

Google in all its many forms is blocked in China which sucks.... is it possible to use world maps with any other map providers, its a great feature but currently inaccessable to me.

For now it works with Google Maps only, using another provider will require significant modifications in World Maps module, also it maybe it will be some alternate module which works the similar way but using different maps provider.
