Widgets not visible in HTML Block

Hi all. I'm trying to add a widget to my site for currency exchange rates but for some reason I add this to a HTML block source code and it doesn't display; it simply shows a blank. I've changed the widget code to something completely different but it still shows an invisible block.

I'm fairly certain I'm missing something here and it's probably very simple but I have spent all day trying and can't work it out!  Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do and try please?

Please specify if your widget's code contains the non-HTML code. If yes, then it needs to insert via the code, not via builder.

Hi. Yes it does but I worked out to get around it by making a HTML file separately in the files and then pointing the HTML block to it directly. Thanks for the input and help
