Why aren't members getting the Unconfirmed Status?

Hello,

Why aren't members getting the Unconfirmed status after signup. Is it a bug or am I missing a setting?

After signing up and receiving the confirmation email, users are also auto-activated. They automatically receive an account activation email. Their account is automatically set to active after.

I am running Dolphin 7.4.2 and my settings are like this:

Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining: YES

Preserve Profile Status After Profile Info Editing: YES

Auto-Confirm Profile Without Confirmation Email: NO

I used to have this problem even with Dolphin 7.3.5. How to fix it?

Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining: YES

This means a newly signed up member is automatically activated, so they won't show up as unconfirmed. It's NOT a good option to tick YES because I could join today and start posting spam immediately. In my opinion, you should confirm all new memberships. It helps to reduce Spam and can help keep fools out.

Change this to NO and you should start seeing unconfirmed members again.

Preserve Profile Status After Profile Info Editing: YES

This means an existing  member can alter their profile and you won't be notified. By clicking NO, you will be notified and you'll be asked to confirm the changes. This is good for a site where strict control over profile content is needed. I'm on several sites where Profile changes must be approved, but it's much more work for the Admin moderators. Anton has a good Profile Auto Moderator which checks for key words.

Auto-Confirm Profile Without Confirmation Email: NO

As far as I know, YES means a member won't be notified when a profile is approved. NO means they will receive a confirmation email letting them know their profile has been approved.

Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining: YES, in conjunction with: Auto-Confirm Profile Without Confirmation Email: NO, means that the member profile is automatically activated after confirming his email. His account will not be sent to approval.

if Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining is set to NO, the member profile will be set as approval and the admin will have to set it to active manually. This is not what I want. That's why I set Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining is set to NO.

The issue I am having is: no matther I set Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining to YES or NO in conjunction with Auto-Confirm Profile Without Confirmation Email: NO, the profile is automattically activated no matter the member confirms his email or not.

By the way, Auto-Confirm Profile Without Confirmation Email determines whether a profile will be confirmed after a member confirms his email adress or not by clicking the confirmation link sent to his mailbox.
