Why are we limited to Flicker and Youtube??

I like Dolphin but I don't understand why are we limeted when embeding media to our sites with Flicker for photos and Youtube for videos??

This isn't OK!!

Don't answer with: go and buy modules.....

Dolphin developers should think about that....

Who on earth is using Flicker for god sake.....

I wish members on my site could use embed code from all sites that offers embeding code not just some forgoten Flicker....

Same goes for video embeding. Do not restrict users to only one provider!!!

Dolphin really is a developer's product; meaning one as a web developer uses Dolphin to set up sites for clients.

You can embed just about any video using the html block or directly into any forum post. You can also allow uploads directly from your users. You are not limited to Fickr or YouTube. If you want single slick action for your members outside of those two however, you will need to develop your script a little more to accommodate them.

Like Geek_girl said, Dolphin is the base, it's up to you to build it in your own image....

OK.. don't go buy modules.... but if you're expecting Dolphin, or any other platform to be all things for all people, then you're in for an excruciatingly long wait.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

By the way, there is an inexpensive module in the market that will accomplish what you want.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
