Who can host and support D7

Arvixe won't support D7 nor do they support RMS on D7.

Does anyone know a great host that will host D7 in Beta and offer VPS or Private Server and RMS for my video intensive site?

I really want to start out with D7 since it is scheduled to release before Christmas. I would like my site's Beta to be ready and live on Christmas day to give as a gift to my family.

You can check the Ads section here at Untiy (left menu) and click the Hosting tag to see a list of hosts that are offer support for Dolphin. I would suggest looking at the ones with high comments and reading them.

Just remember that no one has actually stated that D7 final would be here for Christmas, they are just hinting around to it. But I am keeping my fingers crossed just in case :)

Should I just go with 6.1.6 now and upgrade or go with 7RC2. I like Arvixe so far but my Template designer might only do D7. I know D7 will come out when it comes, but I believe in Santa Claus. I would like to stick with Arvixe but I don't know.

Well now you are asking for personal opinion :)

I personally prefer D7 over 6.1.6 anyday. Mainly because of all of its built-in features that it has, compared to D6. To get alot of these new features, you would need to purchase mods for 6.1.6. So it would only make sense to get D7 and have it all for free :)

Now I have heard some negative things regarding Arvixe's support and RMS with D7, so I cannot advise you what to do there, since it seems you would like to stay. They may or may not decide to upgrade their hosting to suit D7's needs, but Im not sure of that.

So now you have to make the decision... "Should I stay or Should I go" (haha had to do it)

Where do YOU host your D7? If they are good enough for you, they should be good enough for me. Arvixe just looked good to me, but they aren't strong on D7  and RMS and I plan on doing A LOT of video chat and A/V stuff. I am asking for your recommendation and your opinion. It sounds like even a Beta of D7 is better then D6.1.6? Just what I am gathering. Now who do I look into to host my D7 site if Arvixe is out?

Asked and answered in a previous post. Arvixe WILL host D7 with the appropriate RMS WHEN Dolphin moves past the RC version. They do not want to upgrade to D7 until it's considered a stable version because it is a risk to the existing 6.xx users they currently have.
