Where is the video uploader/player

I have a full working install of 6.1.6 on a windows server after spending days sorting the ffmpeg.exe issue out i eventually got it working great.

I have since decided to do a fresh install from the start using dolphin 7.0.9. Exactly the same issues.

1. Where is the video uploader/player??? I have flashapps (used to be ray) video and all my licenses installed and licensed.

I can open video chat after installing chat but cannot find either the video uploader/player  or the IM modulees anywhere.

2. I have followed instructions after instruction of the "video is being processed" issue after recording a video with the "record a video comment" app. With no results.

There isnt actually a ffmpeg.exe in the rms folders but there is one in flash/modules/global/app with permissions set to 755, ive tried them at 777 also with no luck.

I have set all the app red5 properties and other settings using my local ip address 192.168.1.100. Could the be the issue, i wouldnt have thought so but im no expert.

Any help solving these issues wouold be appreciated thank you.

Dolphin 7 adopted modules.

  1. You need to install the Videos module from Administration -> Tools -> Modules.  The default upload selected is the Flash uploader.  IM is now the Messenger module.  The Simple Messenger module is an AJAX-based messenger that sits in the member menu bar (like Facebook's messenger).
  2. Do you have the media server installed (the media server for 6.1 does NOT work with 7.0.4+)?  The IP address should be the IP address of the server.  Is this install local?

Sorry to butt in Nathan,

Hawk, your missing the module completely from the list.

Try to upload the module from your pc via FTP..

module/boonex/videos/

and then you change some setting for video in the Flash Apps page..

Thanks for making me aware of that.

I did a fresh download and the video file was there in the modules folder, but not in my previous folder. I must hgave uploaded without it then downloaded after and it dissapeared.

Anyways its there and installed now thanks.

I uploaded a video and i get the same error as if i was recording a comments video.

video is being processed.

again thanks guys for your much appreciated help.

If you have any clues as to how to solve the processing issue id be grateful.

As mentioned there isnt a ffmpeg in the rms folder, should there be?

Not sure if you have read this, http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DetailedInstall

look for the cron section,

Install Script - Step 5 - Cron Jobs

have you set your cron jobs up in your cPanel, or crontab -e if your in SSH

the cron command i received after my dolphin install was:
MAILTO=admin@me.com * * * * * cd /var/www/public_html/periodic; /usr/bin/php -q cron.php

The one that actually worked was:

/usr/bin/php -q /var/www/public_html/periodic/cron.php

So thanks guys for your help. A relatively enjoyable experience solving that issue. Thanks very much and good luck with your communities.
Maybe il need your help again doing my initial configs.

Thanks a lot. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

All the very best t ya
