Where is Esase?

I bought his module, but it does not work correctly. I wrote to Esase at same day but did not get answer for a week! It's very very bad to wait developer's answer for a week!

I talked to him 3 days ago, he has been on vacation. I was starting to think he was dead myself. Give him time to get settled back in and catch up from his vacation and I am sure he will get with you. He is not the kind of seller to screw people over it is just that time of year and people need to realize these vendors have lives too.

While he might not "screw people over" his customer service for a "trusted vendor" is not the best.  On a side note, maybe Boonex can place something in the market where vendors can list when they will be away for awhile and unable to answer messages; that would help to prevent some of the bad will when customers send messages and don't receive answers because vendors are away.  I purchased a module from Esase and it does not perform as advertised.  When contacting Esase, he informs me that the flaw is a feature and that I must pay him $30.00 for the fix.  When I said "No"; he finally did offer me a refund.  The problem is that I need the module for my site and there is no alternative in the market.

I wrote him again 1 week ago, and what do you think? NOTHING!!!!! So it's more than two weeks of waiting answer of Esase! If you think it is normal, I say NO!  He could write something to me... like 'I'll help you in 1 month, because i'm very busy', but he did not.

Now it's question for everyone: would you like to buy his products with such support?

He makes good and needed modules, but support is OFF!

I bought all his mods.. Yes all! Great Developer and splendid customer service. But I am sure there must be a reason why the delay. I Just hope everything fine with him.

I don't think offering to fix a flaw for $30.00 is excellent customer service; then maybe that is just me.  I will agree that he is a good developer and offers some great modules.

Sometimes you just have to wait a while... I dont think boonex module devs make enough to be 'full time' just on boonex support without running another life!

Esase has always been a good dev in my experience.

I bought a mod from him, designed my site to accommodate it, then he dropped it completely (anyone remember the phpbb mod). He might have the talent but he does not have the scruples required to do this work. It's evident in his inability to respond to anyone in a timely fashion.

I bought module Messenger simple and worked well with 7.0.9

But it does not work with 7.1 and since the launch write to him asking about updating the module.

That was a month and so far no response!!

I believe BoonEx must intervene in this regard, because we are actually being harmed as consumers!

On a similar note... does anyone know who runs the account 'Scriptologist' these days?

I've always dealt with someone called 'Mark' who has been quite prompt at least in replying to questions.

Been messaging Scriptologist for a while now over an issue with a mod, answers are few and far between, and are now always signed 'Jhun - Scriptologist store manager'

Maybe Boonex should have something in dev accounts that makes it clear if we are dealing with an individual or a company of different developers...?
