Where is BoonEx technical/customer service team

Where is BoonEx technical/customer service team?, i have had enough with your software & services.

Early 2014 specifically early April, the company i work with needed a workable membership site for a particular project. I had already moved all budget concerning this project into my debit mastercard pending all expenses.

And as at that time, we weren't in need of no technical issues involving coding especially (since am more into international business management/development/marketing/publicity campaigns inclusive of press release)  ... as a leader of this project i had to do a few research...i also bought a hosting package that supports quick open source installing inorder to test out all membership open source software currently available on the market....and that was when i encountered the boonex dolphin 7.0.4, the homepage slide caught my attention.

Representing a corporate business, i decided that a license should be purchased so in-order words I contacted the dolphin customer support.

I went through a lot of hassle to purchase this software as boonex does not accept payment directly via debit card unless through paypal, which is not eligible here i had to hire another freelancer who managed to get my payment to boonex and it didn't end there i spent $978 in total doing this. However i was given a 10% discount on boonex prime license so i pay only $719 in total to boonex for the software.

Before boonex, i use webs.com and several other quick membership solutions out there and i am still very happy with their services, i only decide to opt for something more because i needed to be in charge of bandwidth.

When i contacted boonex, i was replied back 5 days later stating that the customer support was on maternity leave. The boonex representative who contacted me back opt to do the installation. I showed him the version of boonex which I was interested in. He told me that there will be no problem and that he will also update it.

Also he recommended that I purchase another hosting package at boonex recommended hosting companies (I had no problem with this because I understood the hosting challenges) I waited patiently, later he sent me login details… I checked the live site only for me to discover that it was dolphin 7.1, I messaged him back to explain that I am not interested in the  dolphin 7.1.4 homepage design but rather dolphin 7.0.4 homepage design and also for him to rectify the copyright issue on the site, the language key was nowhere to be found… note I had already tried boonex resource method.

He in turn replied that he is not specialized in design/customization he was solely into payment integration and installations but instead referred me to the boonex market and boonex members. This has nothing to do with customization, I payed for something else and got something else instead.I had already tried the boonex resource pages... Frustrated as I was, i headed for the boonex market for to look for the module that can change the design to the boonex 7.1.4 design to dolphin 7.0.4 design as instructed. I discussed with the module owner and he also confirmed that his module would change the homepage design of dolphin 7.1.4 to dolphin 7.0.4

When I asked this module owner for a live demo, he gave me a link to a youtube video demo instead. I payed for the module and also an extra $$ for him to fix the copyright to my domain name.

Module owner already knew that his module does not work with dolphin 7.1.4 and never replied my messages since then.

I decided to manage the dolphin 7.1.4 design, again I was faced with more issues: so not only was the copyright lang strings missing, some other default lang strings were missing and the modules that were installed did not work inclusive of the payment module. I didn’t know what else to do most especially since programming, design, coding, database were not my area of expertise. I had no idea concerning any of these topics so I couldn’t possibly raise any discussion.

Since early april till date, this dolphin site has been on hold pausing my entire project however since late april to date, I’ve been taking coding lessons and has advanced with coding terminologies and fixes. Now i realized that I have been played big time however I still have the courtesy to post this first anywhere online on the boonex forum itself  in my quest to define “whom is playing who” in this case.

I live and work in a country where $719 for which I had spent to procure boonex dolphin license has exactly the value of $2690.86. So you can imagine my pain and how had I worked to earn that.

Not to mention the new hosting package i bought valued at $300+ / 6months which has gone to waste-- More $$$ expenditure for nothing especially for someone like me who resides in a country where $1 has the value of $3.75.

When I look back at companies like namecheap.com, and other online companies technical / customer support services that I had an encounter with, I wonder about why customers at boonex should be short of any of these?

Before I go on to revoke my commercial license and request for a refund of my hard earned cash which I had traded for the commercial license of this software, I have the following questions to ask:

1). Do all the default boonex modules actually function appropriately?, if no, why then does boonex advertise them as functional and also trade a commercial license for them?,  What kind of child’s play is this?

2).Is boonex actually an independent software company or it’s also affiliated to a group/club of programmers/web designers looking to ends meet hence the dysfunctional traded software?.

3).Why are there so many security issues with all boonex software versions of dolphin which is also traded commercially?.

4).Why does each new version release of the boonex dolphin have to the do with mainly security bugs and not just value-added services, does this mean that boonex as a company keeps trading an incomplete software to customer’s/ consumers?.

5).Why does each new version of the default boonex dolphin tends to age with one urglier designs after the other?, am I the only one noticing this?.

6).Does the boonex company actually care about it’s customers?.

7).Why does  a returning customer have to open support ticket for emergencies only for your to be replied after about a week+?.

8).Is this boonex company only concerned with receiving payment from customers?, if yes what kind of show is this----- a circus show?

9).For customers who purchase boonex dolphin for commercial projects , all whom decides to operate on the default boonex dolphin designs and customization, are there any possibility that they are prone to security attacks and crashes in a case where there is competition?.

10).What kind of a company is Boonex that they cannot make temporal replacement at their customer service level before granting it's employee ,a maternity leave hence halt's partial operations ( cannot address customer issues but can receive payments).

11).What happened to the ethics whereby the boonEx customer service department after it's resumption cannot simply write to client who trooped in during that period to confirm that they are satisfied with their traded merchandise for which they have already received payment?.

And lastly does my case of receiving dysfunctional modules and incomplete language strings after my prime license purchase have to do with mainly the installation itself from the technical team support?

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you all to avoid any rational decisions.

Aside from a boonex dolphin website i have a life and life itself it's very short.... i have decided to sleep peacefully at night.

I can definitely not build my life around a forum, this is shear headache.... enough of the losses i need my money back, to hell with the commercial license.

just curious - have you even attempted to get assistance for your issues here in the forums - or are all 4 of your posts in this one thread? Most things can be resolved by simply asking for assistance.

BoonEx doesn't have a technical support team (so to speak). It has always been a community supported (forums) product since day one.

When reaching out to BoonEx directly, it should be for sales related questions or if you purchased a license that includes an install.

The default modules (the ones that come with the Dolphin software) work just fine as long as your server/host configurations are correct.

3rd Party modules (in the Market) may or may not work with certain versions. ANY questions regarding modules in the Market should be addressed to the developer BEFORE purchase.

After installation, you are still required to install any default modules you want and make some tweaks such as the copyright language string for example.

Without going through every single detail, it would be best to search the forums for the problem(s) you are having in order to resolve your issues. If you cannot find any topics regarding your issue, which is highly unlikely, then post a new topic describing in detail what is wrong. You will get better and faster responses here from the members.

Nothing to see here

RE

i also bought a hosting package that supports quick open source installing inorder to test out all membership open source software currently available on the market....

If you mean softaculous installs, they are notorious for failure.

also for him to rectify the copyright issue on the site, the language key was nowhere to be found… note I had already tried boonex resource method.

That would have been found easily searching in the language keys, if your install failed, that key could have not been copied.

some other default lang strings were missing and the modules that were installed did not work inclusive of the payment module.

Again this could be the install method.

Is boonex actually an independent software company or it’s also affiliated to a group/club of programmers/web designers looking to ends meet hence the dysfunctional traded software?

I don't know for sure, but the years I've been here, it is a very small team at Boonex.

As stated above, post here and we will help in every-way we can, each of us has our own skills and can usually fix or help you much faster than Boonex team.

As I would like to eventually purchase a license, having or not having one makes no difference in getting support.

First of all, get the idea of installing version 7.0.4 out of your head. That would make no sense. That branch of Dolphin reached 7.0.9 and hundreds of software issues were resolved between 7.0.4 and 7.0.9

You should use 7.1.4 for new projects. It's the most stable version available, and support for older versions won't be at the same level as it is for the current version.  Third party modules in the market are now for 7.1.4.  The use of a two year old version of Dolphin would be nonsensical.

You could have installed and evaluated Dolphin for free, so you probably won't get a lot of sympathy for your buyer remorse.  You haven't made a single post for help in these forums, and maybe your should give that a try.  You might be surprised how quickly you can get issues resolved, and have a site working pretty well.

As far as the ugly default design, I'll have to give you that one.  It is however, easily corrected with a new template.

True.  Rants like this are typical of those who are victims of their own stupidity.  It is far easier to blame someone else for your failings, than accept the fact that you're in over your head.

I wonder whether you read my entire post, if not please read again--- i did try out 2 types of dolphin demo and i never said i were an I.T project manager, if i were one i wouldn't have stated that "we needed no technical hassle" , did it occur to you that there are indeed different branches in project management.

Anyways i write business plans & outsourcing strategies and i direct them as well. And as a consultant i specialize in performance audit, regular health check audits, regulatory audit, operations audit.

The company i work for runs a membership group between companies/professionals in two different countries as one of it's project and therefore an online membership platform is simply another medium to aid communications/updates and this is neither the main project itself or the main objective of the company not forgetting that there are other mediums of communication.

Obviously i have gotten that out of my head, My early thoughts was that it could have been installed and upgraded without a change in the design.

That was what i contacted dolphin for in the first place. The intention was actually not to run a fully fledged community/dating site. We simply need an ads module for jobs posting/ product advertisement only, event module for event posting only that could work efficiently with a homepage slide for which we can also feature members, products, contests (7.0.4 homepage design fitted into this description perfectly) as the landing page, a paypal business/pro module for purchase from the store only, a forum module for contest only,a store module for the site owner only, a membership module which could restrict who could post jobs or not, a rating/voting module which could work with the contest forum. That was all and i had to go through all the brouhaha's and top it all when i decided to manage the 7.1.4 design- all these default modules did not work correctly on the site when it was installed by a boonex team.

It was not like i needed any custom configurations, i knew my way around it if they were workable. What am i suppose to do with the licenses if the default modules alone cannot work without any headaches of this sort. I simply do not understand my expenditure in the first place. Honestly i don't especially not after loosing $300+ worth of hosting.

Thanks a-lot  for the insults however i never stated that i were an I.T project manager in any of my posts but since you were too quick to cast insults, i cannot tell between the original quoted poster, his seconded and myself whom stupidity beholds more, i cannot also not tell between the two quoted posters whose failings it was to read than to accept the fact that they are in all over heads.  I am pretty sure and i know that there have been other victims other than myself who have been through such traumatic/problematic experiences. You will be shocked to know that i am a silent partner of two/more hosting/server businesses and i am very familiar with my dealings with top programmers /web companies/ web-designer's usually i turn a blind eye to all negative ordeals but the industry will be no better unless someone out there does something about them.

I have come to realize a-lot but at least for now i have decided not to mention names until i change my mind. Somethings are better left unsaid and whether or not you decide to be tolerant it depends on the individual.
