When membership ends, does it go back to standard?

After a person's paid or promotion membership ends, does their profile go back to standard? For example, If a person signs up using promotion membership, and they don't upgrade to paid, will they go to standard member or will they be deleted?

Or if they sign up for standard membership, then they upgrade, will they be deleted after their term ends?

Memberships automatically return to Standard.  You can also set up reminders for your members; there is a default time set up but that can be changed.  You can send out more than one reminder, say a week in advance, then a day in advance.
