When Beta 2 be released this year?

Im asking this because I think it smarter to start with Beta 2. Will it be released this year you think or should I just start using Beta 1? Is it safe to use now or are there any potential issues?

From the topics that I have been reading, yes....there are (quite a few) issues with beta 1.  As far as beta 2, I would love for it to be released as well before the year is out because Im absolutely stuck (dont know whether I should start with 7.0.9 or wait for beta 2).  I have a 7.0.9 sitting on a server just idling, and altho Im a TOTAL NEWB that do not know dolphin at all, I dont want to commit to 1 of them and then later find out that I shouldve committed to the other.  Which is also slowing down my progress as learning dolphin, and purchasing a few modules and the whole works.

So Im crossing my fingers, have a rabbit foot, praying to the Gods and Boonex that beta 2 is released very very very soon, or in a timely fashion (from reading, I've gathered that they are not speedy with release versions) but ultimately, time will tell.

Boonex, any comments?

From my understanding, patches will be release to fix bug issues that can be applied to 7.1 beta 1.  Supposedly one can upgrade their 7.0.9 to 7.1.x beta x.  You have to decide if you want to start with 7.0.9; which by the way has bugs, and then worry about upgrading later and the issues that can bring; which at the moment appear to be many, or start with 7.1 and deal with applying pages as they are released.

I have decided to go ahead with 7.1 even though there are issues and worry about fixing the issues and applying patches rather than trying to upgrade later; of course I am just getting started with a production site and I have been doing such things for some time now and have worked with beta releases of software before.

The bottom line is that only you can make the decision based on being well informed.  Make a pro and con list and go from there.
