What to do after recvng payment

Hi, I have setup a community using dolphin 6.1.4 FREE.

I have setup membership levels as Promo, Silver and Gold. The payment method I have is paypal with process Mode - live, type - direct , connection type SSL, identity token - blank.

I need know what happens when someone registers and before expiry of promo, pays for the paid membership level like Gold $xx. In my case the membership level does not get updated automatically.

Do I need to update the membership level manually for each member who pays ?

If yes then how do I update his membership level ? Is it by editing his profile or is there some other way in admin.

Am really worried and need help.

You can manually change all membership levels by Admin --> Users --> Members --> select the Member ID link of the particular member. Then it will allow you at the top of their edit profile screen to upgrade membership.

Did the PROMO membership expire before you upgraded??? Has it expired since the Upgrade?

So, you mean I have to do it manually for each member who sends in the payment ? I think there must be a way to select the members and upgrade the selected. Can anyone help please.

Are you saying that recurring payments are NOT automated???

I do not know about recurring payments, what I am saying is that when a member pays for a particular membership level then his membership does not get updated automatically and the admin has to phisically edit the profile of the member and change the membership level. This looks bit odd.

Secondly, when the profile of a member is edited and membership level changed it does not reflect in the admin panel under members. Members panel still shows membership as promotion.

Is it a bug ?

Well it SHOULD update automatically anytime the status is changed and certainly
recurring payments should be automatic!

My v6.1.4 shows correct in Admin > members  .....
