What is the difference between timeline + outline

What is the difference between timeline + outline 

How do you use them? What are the differences between both elements?

They look difference (in desktop view mostly)

You can replay directly comments in timeline

timeline has time marks

outline looks better i think, too bad you can't replay directly there too (like timline)

This is the difference between timeline and outline.  Outline is placed on the home page and it gives an outline of content posted to the site; it will show to your members all public content and content from your friends; content that is posted for friends only will not show to anyone but friends of the member.  Timeline is placed in the account and shows content and activity posted by your friends.
