What does the profiler do?

Hello,

I just upgraded my dolphin and part of the instruction stated that it wasn't necessary to have profiler installed?

So the question is, what does the profile do?

Good question.  The profiler module seems to be one of Boonex's most closely guarded secrets.  To my recollection, they have never felt it necessary to tell any of us exactly what this module does, or how to use it.  It is rumored to be some sort of diagnostic tool.  I guess they didn't want to tell us to use it until a few hundred bugs were cleared, or else the diagnostic tool would have gone berserk.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

I have a bad server overload all the time on my dedicated server and my sites slow down badly during this time. At my WHM process manager I can see that one of my dolphin site is going up in memory usage to 70% all the time and then start again at 40%.

Does anyone know if the following belongs to dolphin cos somehow I do belief that something else cost this problem.

Here we go:

/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/analog +CIMAGEDIR /images/ +CDOMAINSFILE /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/analog/lang/usdom.tab +CCHARTDIR ./ +CALLCHART ON +CLANGFILE /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/analog/lang/us.lng +COUTFILE /home/XXXXX/tmp/analog/1.html +CLOCALCHARTDIR /home/XXXXX/tmp/analog/ +CCACHEOUTFILE /home/XXXXX/tmp/analog/cache.out +CCACHEFILE /home/XXXXX/tmp/analog/cache +CVHOST ON +COSREP ON +CBROWSER ON +CFULLBROWSER ON +CREDIRREF ON +CREFSITE ON +CFAILREF ON +CLOGFORMAT COMBINED +CHOSTNAME mydomain.com +CHOSTURL http://mydomain.com/ /usr/local/apache/domlogs/mydomain.com.bkup

Most of all though, where do I find the log file for the profiler?

Diddy is not greedy and has time. Dolphin is cool and its not just mine :-)

Profiler logs are in modules/boonex/profiler/log/ folder.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
