What are Boonex's plans for Orca in D7?

I noticed that the support forum for Orca is in the Archives. Does that mean Boonex will no longer be actively working on fixes or updates for Orca in D7?  If that's true, is Boonex planning to replace Orca with something new (or a different forum script)?

I'd really like to know before I start investing time and money into making mods to Orca.

Orca used to be a separate product.

It's now part of dolphin. So.....  the older forums pertaining to orca as a separate entity have been archived.

So when you refer to orca now, your referring to a dolphin 7 module, so it is discussed in the D7 forums.

But in my opinion, the forums stink, and i don't really think they plan to make many improvements.

It seems people have forgotten that I finished my standalone Orca project. It ended last month with Dolphin completely removed except for what was needed for Orca to operate correctly. I even brought-back the old profile pages.

For a part of Dolphin, the integration is still sub-par, along with the forum itself, which was why what I did was so easy in the first place. I wish BoonEx would embrace its new-found love for Vanilla more with an official integration.

It would be nice if they did a full proper integration. But will they??   ???? ????? ?????

Rumor is, the private employee-only forum is powered by Vanilla.

It would be beneficial if Boonex's short-term/long-term plans were made public so that website developers can make best use of limited funds when deciding what modifications to make.

If Boonex plans to move to Vanilla or whatever, I would hold off on making forum modifications and spend that money on other modifications until the "new" forum plugin is available. It's very difficult to make your own strategic plans when you don't know the strategic vision of Boonex.
