I have dolphin 7.3.3. installed on a VPS server and RMS on another VPS server.
My issue is one as yet unrealized.
I am presuming success with my community and so would like some advice on what system requirements to build up to.
And how many users would my current system be able to handle.
I am currently using the following setup for my dolphin install:
1 vCore
2.4 GHz
6 GB RAM
25 GB
RMS Server:
1 vCore
2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
10 GB SSD
I can upgrade the servers to the following without having to move to a dedicated server setup:
2 vCores
2.4 GHz
8 GB RAM
40 GB SSD
RMS Server:
2 vCores
2.4 GHz
8 GB RAM
40 GB SSD
So my question is:
At what point (meaning User Count) would I need to upgrade the systems first to the better VPS as mentioned above:
And second to a Dedicated server such as the one below:
Intel Xeon E3-1270v6
3.8GHz /4.2GHz
32GB DDR4 ECC 2400 MHz
SoftRaid 2x2TB
And then to private cloud?
As you can see I am looking for an upgrade path to build the system presuming the sites success.
Also... where would I go from private cloud onwards.
As well as: Would it be possible to host user files in a separate location?
Of course I am not there yet but just doing a little du diligence to find out where I am going and the possible solutions to think about.
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
