 I touched on this a little yesterday, but had no response. I have a lot of requests on my site for wall post notifications. People are overlooking and/or seeing wall posts by manually looking at the wall. Can notifications be incorporated into the wal post via email and bottom bar notices? Thank |
In addition, the wall text box does not clear out after a message is posted. This causes a slight problem when updating yout status from the bottom bar right after. With the wall text still in the box, the auto redirect of the status update requires and answer to continue from the browser using ff 3.0.13 |
This is something i am also looking for. yes there should be a notification system other then that its simply useless wall. |
Also... all of your friends (or sites) wall posts should be aggregated in the dashboard.. like facebook.. that is the only way that "walls" and site activity in general will get seen. Social networking these days is all about having an aggregated activity feed and notifications of such.. thats what drives a social networking site. It's backwards to have a wall but not an aggregated activity feed in the dashboard for you to view all your friends activity. So, I agree, right now the wall is almost completely pointless. Does anyone know if a dashboard activity feed is in the works? phpFoX and Social Engine both have implemented this now.. partcularly v2 for phpFoX.. but I would love to be able to get behind dolphin.. so can we get this? |
