Wall enhancements

The wall is great, but has a little ways to go. It would be nice if it did the following;

1. notified user when someone writes on their wall by bottom bar notifications and email.

2. Limitations of what one reads on the wall before having to click the next arrow button should be opened more.

3. Current replies are often missed because they are not open by default. Having to notice the "1 reply" and click on it is a problem for many

4. Wall activity should be also posted to friends spy notice based on privacy options.

5. Spy module should be incorporated into the wall mod to make one complete mod and act more like the facebook home section does and how I describe in 4, above.

6. Profile comments should be disabled when the wall is on, because people get really confused where they should type.

Thank

In addition to above, the wall can be inserted on the "Profile" page but I have no option to insert it on the "Account" home page from the page builder.

It would be nice for users to see their wall right when they log in.

With that said, the wall should also post as the "Status" message and replace the current one. It seems redundant to post to a wall and update status. same thing.

I AGREE with all of this.  Can we get these sort of changes.  FACEBOOK should not have things we don't...

Thanks

I concur.

I AGREE with all of this too and imho there is no need to have video or file upload option (or at last give to administrator control over this)

I agree with all the above, especially the one quoted, my members are confused as well where to post default comments...

You mean things like 120 million members.

Got to be careful with this sort of stuff.

If you do to much to copy facebook, facebook may pull a microsoft and slap a intellectual property rights lawsuit on boonex.

Do you remember when everybody wanted profile customization just like Myspace?  I think one of the absolute wrost things about Myspace, is all the aesthetically challenged members, who do things like tile 5MB pink and green images on their profile

I agree with all that Lavinco mentioned. The Wall is a good concept but it isn't really being utilized. User activities should be reflected on the Wall to engender a deeper viral reaction among members. If I join a group, my Wall should mentioned that. If someone posts a topic in a forum I'm subscribed to, my Wall should tell me that. So on and so on.

Facebook is popular precisely because of that sort of notification. If BOBQ joins the group "Marvelous!" then I'll see that and think, "Huh, what's that all about?" and check it out. So on and so on.

The Wall might do more than I've seen since I've just played with it a few days but so far, it doesn't seem to do a whole lot. It should drive the user interactions, or at least instigate activities.
