WHM allows for rebuilding Apache and PHP from a graphical interface, with a wide variety of options available, and with links to information for each option. Yes, using EasyApache, there are a few more steps to add mbstring support, but it's extremely easy to do, and non-destructive when using savable build profiles.
actually, looking at the easyApache, they offered a list but I don't think it was all inclusive. I would much rather do a configure and have FULL control over building Apache and php and anything else exactly like I want it done. Plus, from what I understand with this setup, I can not use repos for doing anything because the cPanel addon thing comments it out. Sometimes graphical interfaces just get in the way; they are nice but they should not interfere with my shell access.
