Virtualhosts installation

Hi, has anyone installed dolphin in a directory and used virtualhosts to point a domain name at it?  I am trying to do this but for some it keeps redirecting to my root html directory instead.  I have a bunch of other sites in virtualhost, and dolphin is the only giving me this strange problem.  I looked at the htaccess file but it doesn't seem to have anything particular.

Looking for comments, suggestions or ideas.

Sorta strange as there is nothing in the .htaccess that would lead it back to root  .....

If you have a wildcard record (NameVirtualHost *:80) after the problem one that would do it  .....
.

Yupe I have the namevirtualhost *:80 etc... as I mentioned I do have other virtual domains that work fine. The dolphin install is the only one giving me problems right now.  Weird!!! The only thing I can imagine (but I'm not an expert) is that the root directory is at /var/www/html while the virtual hosts are at /var/www/html/vhosts/<domain>.  Could it be that they should all the on the same 'level' such as /var/www/<domina> to work?
