Video and Forum problem

hi to all

I have 2 problems. in 7.1

1-- forum does not work . when i click on forum it shows Blank page not forum home.

2--- I can not upload or embedd youtube video.  when i click on up load video is shows  progress

when progress complets it give video error.

same for youtube videos.

Does youtube require ffmpeg.  becose i have some broplem with it

I am using free host for testing which have some function off in php.ini Frown

any help

1) Did u set up XSLT support before Forum installation? It will not work without.

2) FFmpeg is needing to make screenshot of embedding video. So need to fix it first.

id did not uploades ffnpeg is it required for youtube embedded videos too?

I believe your top issue is this "free host." You will not get the propper experience with this software by using a free web hosting provider, as they will most likely not make the needed adjustments (in fact, they won't, neither will they like you trying to run this software on their server).

These problems  are common, so it may or may not be the free host.

I have a paid host and I have these problems too.

If there is anyone who can answer these questions you should do it and not dismiss this because he is using a free host.

I would like to know how to solve these problems.

This video issue was fixed for me by changing the permissions back to 777

this change must have happened during the upgrade to 7.02..

I am still trying to figurte out the reply issue

The video reply function still does not work for me no matter what i do. i do not eventhink I need this function, but since there is a link there that the user can see, i want to enable it.. but it does not work!!
