Video Upload Issues / Cron Jobs

I am unfamiliar with how to work with cron jobs.

Someone mentioned to me that cron jobs control video processing etc.

Can Anyone instruct me on how to take care of this issue?

Thanks

a cron i an automatic process. the language of the application is such that we refer to it firing a cron job, but basically it instantiates the cron, or initializes the cron. the cron is a directive that gives the computer instructions on what it needs to do. i.e. process (convert) a file format from what is uploaded i.e. (gif) to jpg, or process a wma to fla.

so unless you google a specific task, you are not going to get a real understandable answer.

its kinda like a trained dog, you teach a dog commands, those commands are attended to on the fly on command by the dog. and that is similar to a cron job (automated no human interaction required) task.
