Video Issues

Hi all. I have a couple of questions regarding video:

1. When I upload video I end up with two video files, a .mpg and a .flv. I tried getting rid of one or the other but if both are not there the video does not play back. Why do I need 2 files doubling my storage req?

2. After uploading I checked the created file and it is converted to 25 frames per second. Not good as my original videos are the standard 29.97. So where is the place that I can change my conversion settings?

Thanks for nay help on these two items.

There are a few video settings in your admin panel under ray try to set it to 100% qulity and see if it keeps the 29 frames a sec.

Hi and thanks for the reply. In admin, the only thing pertaining to Ray is under Plugins. Once there, I go to Video Player (being the closest in relevance to my issue) and there are no settings regarding quality, frame rate etc etc. So I am still without the answer. This should be pretty straight forward but I am finding that it is not. Many scripts with video have it were these settings can be accessed from admin or edited in a config file. But I cannot find either. What else can I do to resolve this? Thanks.
