Verification Email Was Not Sent Out

I use another email to register a test account, and DU never sent out the confirmation email.

Therefore this message always comes up when I log in with the test account

Your email address is unconfirmed. Please, check your email (my-email-addy@hotmail.com) for a confirmation letter and click email confirmation link. Can't find the letter? Check your SPAM folder or ,,,,

Also, how can I install MODS on DU manually?

I'll need to test emails in the latest version, but have you checked your spam/junk folder?

Also, there are no mods or modules for Dolphin U at this time. It's an alpha, and Dolphin 7 stuff isn't compatible - it's essentially a separate product, despite the similar names.

Yes, I checked several times/days to make sure I didn't miss anything. 

I went to Studio and install all the available mods automatically, though. That's really cool with 1 click installation.

 I've had this same problem from day one. I had the problem with the original first preview site in July, and every site since then...including my own test site. I've never been compelled to track down the problem though, since DU is at least a year away from being a viable platform.  Perhaps it's time somebody did find the root of this problem.  On the Boonex DU demo site, I could click the "send verification letter again" link a thousand times, and still would not get an email.

Send mail works the same way as in Dolphin 7 (Pro). 

If it doesn't work by default - try to install SMTP Mailer module and setup it for you.

Sending mail from site shouldn't need additional setup

since the mail accounts are setup during the installation,right?

It may require additional setup, I would suggest to carefully read help page for SMTP mailer module - click on (?) icon in top right corner when you are in SMTP mailer module in Studio.
