Using a remote SMTP server

Does the new Dolphin allow you to use a remote SMTP server in order to send email notifications?

Currently I have a custom module installed on my 6.1.6 for that.

I'm having the same issue here. I want to set up a remote smtp server. Currently my host is banning me from sending mail because they see it as spam. So I need an external smtp server configuration to enable mail notifications. Any ideas Anyone?

Super easy - just use your Gmail account and utilize the Outbound Relay feature  - it's free until you hit the daily limit of 2,000 emails, then you can pay for additional daily relay limits:
