Using Facebook Connect without upgrading to 7.1

Is this possible? I understand the issue with the new facebook API is causing the facebook connect module to fail for users running 7.09 - is there a way to get facebook connect working while still running 7.09? (Upgrading will cause many of the modules I've purchased to fail - so I need to keep 7.09 but figure out a way to use facebook connect.)

You have a couple of options.

1) You can try updating to the one included with dolphin 7.1. You would most likely need to modify it's config file to get it to install. But due to changes in the template design in 7.1 there may also be some cosmetic glitches in the admin settings section of the module. I have not tried to do this, so i do not know if it will work.

OR

2) Remove it and replace it with a version from the market such as this one. http://www.boonex.com/m/Deanos_Facebook_Connect_Version_2_0 which is maintained through dolphin versions and facebook changes.
