Username restrictions

Is it possible to make a list somewhere that defines certain words/usernames that are not allowed. I mean short of just registering the ones I can think of right now manually I'd like to restrict certain names/words in varied combinations that if entered the surfer gets a message that says that username is not available.

For example if I don't want someone to use a variation of a trademark name, ie trademark_01, trademark_02, MrTrademark, Trade_mark, etc. The option of adding the string somewhere would be very helpful. I've done this before with other programs so I wondered if Dolphin had the same capability.

thanks

This may be a daunting task. Hopefully there's a mod for it somewhere.

I'm interested in this too. We've had multiple examples of new members adding themselves with variations of the words 'moderator' and 'admin' (moderator1 for example). Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot - but how is this not a very basic standard feature already? It should be obvious that usernames with certain words should not be allowed. I'll consider this mod, cheers.

How nice that a Boonex staffer would decide to provide for free, that which I requested via a ticket approximately 16 months ago.... and Yes, this should have been a standard feature all along.

Hmm... just noticed that an old Dolphin 6.1 post mutated into a Dolphin 7 thread.
