User levels

I've done some serious re search regarding Dolphine and decided to go for it. When I'm finally am about to lanuch it to a small number of people it seems to me there's no way myself as an admin can give certain users certain levels. Am I blind of is it a must to set up a money transaction in Dolphine for getting a member to another user level. If so my whole project will fall flat down to the ground. Please tell me I'm just blind.

Regards :)

Actually, that is one of Dolphin's strengths.  Did you look at the membership levels under advanced settings yet?   Members can upgrade to any level, and admins can set accounts to any level, however this cannot be done on registration - only after they have registered.

Hey and thank's for your reply

This is exactly what I thought but when setting up a user level I can not enter members into it with out setting up a payment form and that's not what I'd like to do. I like to bump some of the members up to another level from the admin panel and that's not working or I've become completely blind.

I've been working around the "settings" and membership levels as well as "users" but nothing. Setting an affiliate account seems to work.

ps what could be wrong with my e-mail settings when not being able to send out invites. I'm using siteground hosting and the easy installment menu at their end. :)
