User friendly change suggestions

Following Houston's post about implementing 'Pages' as a default module in DOlphin, I have a few further suggestions of possible developments to existing functions that I would really like to see.

1 - can we replace 'comments' with 'forum' style posting.

For example, groups and events have their own forums. Why can Articles an Blogs have this also instead of comments?

I find comments next to useless. Very limited, very difficult to follow any depth of interaction and response. forums however offer a much better experience and media rich interaction.

2 - Open site albums for media.

for example - you create a 'fun' album for photos, users can post into this as well as the album creator.

This would be especially helpful within modules such as  groups, articles, events etc...

at the moment, group members or event 'fans' can upload a photo but it just shows on one photo viewing block on the module home page. Really messy when more than 10 photos get posted...

Need open albums included within modules.

3 - Recurring subscription payments as default option.

Not too hard to setup, already a mod for it on market although looks like the developer may no longer be supporting it as he doesnt answer any support issues. Some sites need ongoing membership subscriptions.

That would be my top 3 :-)

Anyone else?

Videos - Option to post to Youtube & Vimeo as well as the server - Admins option to determine which is available

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

#2 would be so attractive as let's say you have a major event take place and people from all over the event want to post pictures but have to go through a number of steps to get to that ability.  Take Sandy as an example of you have a site that allows the public to post pictures to it. Can you imagine the responses that would come from such an event.  I tried to pay someone to set this up but they never got it right.  It has so many possibilities if a folder can be public and yes I think you would have to have some kind of admin approval function for the idiots in the world.  However if you have a site that has a recognized name and you are able to convey a place for multiple players to upload media your site could go viral in a day!  The need for something like this is going to grow to be able to document things that others wish would just go away!  The getting past the time consuming process of being able to share things brings a entire new line of possibilities.
