User Add
is an excellent and easy to self-manage module that helps to manually add members by the admin. All profile fields are managed per build-in profile fields builder in admin panel. Regarding to your profile activation settings the newly added member will receive the standard after join email with all required information. Basically the modules process is equal to the standard join process.

Does mean you can check your site in Admin to join by invitation only and this Join form will still allow Admin to create new accounts?
Cheers :) |

Awesome. This is EXACTLY what I have been after since day dot. Thankyou. Site will finally be secure. :) |
Does it use the join form you have built for the site or a different one? In other words, will custom fields be in the admin join form as well? http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |
all join fields that are made/choosen with build-in profile builder of admin panel will show up in the module ... http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/paansystems - your resource for Dolphin Pro |

If email verification is 'on' in my site settings and I add a user with this mod, will that bypass the verification step or will the user still be sent the verification email with a need to click to activate their account? Curious |
the verification email gets sent but you can activate the profile with the member manager in admin panel. http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/paansystems - your resource for Dolphin Pro |
What happens if I want to add 20 test members (for site testing) bud dont have 20 seperate valid e-mail addresses to use? Will this cause database errors when i tries to varify or send other mails duting the membership lifecycle? I have had this before when genuine members use an e-mail that bounces..... |
You will get some failed email delivery reports in your admin mail. It doesn't matter much.

so much to do.... |
I really like this admin tool for special cases but I can imagine a potential problem with adding actual members. When we use User Add we have to check the "I have read and agreed with Terms of Use" check-box in order to complete the registration process. We shouldn't be doing this for actual users... for obvious legal reasons.
Would it be possible to add an option for those cases where the admin only wants to create an account in the membership database and would require the user, upon login, to confirm their Agree to Terms before using their account?

Any progress... will a feature be added, for accounts created with User Add, to require new members to confirm their Agree to Terms before they begin using their account?

Hi! We have this module, but want to disable the captcha code on the add user form.. how can I go about that? Thank you so much for your help! You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.. although it does work the other way around! |

If you want do remove captcha from the form you need to edit the join profile fields. There is no seperate field configuration existing. So if you want to remove it for the module you also remove it on your join form.

This sounds like a mod I will need. Question - do you know of a way to add admins to Dolphin 7.2? I did look at Deanos tools, but it says it's not compatible. Perhaps you'd be able to help?

At the moment there is no function to add admins existing in my module. Maybe I am going to add it in near future ;) http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/paansystems - your resource for Dolphin Pro |
I get the error: The requested URL /m/useradd/administration/ was not found on this server.
when I try to run the module on version 7.2.1
|
did you correctly install the module? http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/paansystems - your resource for Dolphin Pro |
It looks like my .htaccess wasn't working. It's working now. I was able to install the module. But, when I click on 'User Add' the user creation is a two screen process. I have to create the username and password first and then all the other fields. It's not like your screenshot. Is that expected in 7.2.1?
Nevermind!...I just figured it out. I have to use the form builder to put the fields in. Thank you for this module!
