This list is spot on. I can't believe people want to move here when they retire. I can't wait to retire to move away.

I was there earlier this year.... not by my choice.  I've never seen so many old people in one place in my entire life.

dang - it sounds like here in Phoenix that you are describing - roflmfaop - older persons, bad drivers, illegal aliens, and the hottest weather - all year round. I think the other day we hit 115f - which translates to 145 in the warehouse I work in.

I just saw a news story about one of those dust clouds swallowing up Phoenix.  It was rather impressive.

we had one last night - looks cool till the whole house is swallowed up and you can not see 2 feet into your backyard - lol. Or if you gotta run from your car into the house during one - it is a real big mess. And that is just a normal dust storm - the Haboob's are worse.

I've never seen a dust storm in Houston, although it does rain mud once in a while.  I hear in Florida, people have seen frogs and fish fall out of the sky during a storm.

During hurricane Alicia, I saw a Shell gas station sign that probably weighed over 500 lbs fall out of the sky.  The next day I called the Shell station down the block and told them I knew where their sign was.  They said they weren't missing a sign.  Then I called the next closet Shell station about 5 miles away.  It wasn't theirs either.  There were a number of stations within a 10 mile radius.... I didn't bother calling them.

I was always wonder about the idiotic weatherpersons standing out in a full blown hurricane talking about how one can barely stand up.  I keep waiting for one to get their head lopped off on live television by a sign blowing by.

Geeks, making the world a better place

They like to stand in flood waters too, which are usually a nice mix of bird crap, dead animals, insect parts,  and an assortment of floating garbage.  They may as well go stand in a cesspool somewhere.
